You must pay careful attention to the requirements for becoming a massage therapist in Indiana, as there are a few unique guidelines you won’t find in many other states.
As in most places, you need to complete a minimum of 500 hours at an approved massage therapy school. Once you have done this you then need to pass an official exam, but Indiana is very flexible in this regard. You can complete any of the following:
- NCE (from the National Board Certification Agency)
Another interesting thing about Indiana is that instead of the typical biennial license renewal requirement, your license here will not expire for 4 years, and there are no continuing education requirements at the moment.
- NCETM/ NCETMB: $225.00
- MBLex: $195.00
- NCE: $275.00
- License: $100.00
- License renewal: $150.00
- Verification of certification $10
